Applying Skills

Applying Research Skills

Research supervision at the university is provided by an academic supervisor and a professional EP research supervisor, with oversight by a third advisor.

Over the three years, Trainees should demonstrate the following research skills:

  • apply qualitative and quantitative research techniques to applied educational psychology

  • negotiate, plan, design, implement and interpret research activities in Local Authority contexts

  • develop a creative and innovative research contribution - synthesise the findings to the vanguard of current theoretical understandings
